Files processed in your browser
GIF compression, resizing, cropping, trimming, speed changes, reversing, frame extraction, sprite sheets and image-sequence creation run in your browser. Files selected for these tools are not uploaded to our backend for processing.
Videos you upload for local video-to-GIF conversion also remain in your browser. Working files and previews are held in browser memory while the tool is open. Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them. Closing the page releases its working state; it does not delete your downloads.
AI generation and external processing
AI generation is different from local file processing. When you submit an image or motion prompt, your browser sends the request to our backend. Our backend forwards the prompt and required generation settings to a model service provider. API credentials are handled on the backend, not included in the browser bundle.
For image-to-video generation, the generated source image is sent to an external media-storage service and referenced in the model request. Model and media providers may process and retain this information under their own policies. We do not control their retention periods. Do not include confidential information or personal data you are not authorized to share.
Visiting an AI tool or uploading a video for local conversion does not by itself submit an AI generation request. Requests to read configuration, restore a saved task or check task status may still contact our backend.
Task records and generated files
The current backend stores task identifiers, task type, status, provider task identifiers, errors and generated image or video files on the server running the service. Its task-record format does not persist the original prompt, although the prompt is sent to the model provider during generation.
There is currently no automatic expiry or user-facing deletion endpoint for these server records and files. Clearing your browser storage does not delete server-side records, provider records or stored media. The AI backend is currently a local development integration; a static deployment alone does not provide AI generation.
Browser storage
The AI tool uses a localStorage entry named framekit-ai-tasks to remember task identifiers and restore progress after a reload. It does not store your API key or prompt in that entry. The entry remains until it is replaced or removed through your browser site-data settings.
The current application does not include advertising trackers or analytics scripts, and its code does not set tracking cookies. A future hosting provider may process request metadata or set its own necessary cookies. See our Cookies & Local Storage notice for details.
Requests and technical information
Loading the website requests its pages, code, fonts and sample files from the site host. AI requests and media downloads contact our backend. The receiving server can see technical request information such as your IP address and request headers.
The current application has no account registration, newsletter form or payment collection. The application does not implement persistent visitor analytics logs. Hosting infrastructure and external providers may maintain their own operational logs.
Your choices
You can use the local tools without submitting AI prompts. You can clear the task identifiers using your browser site-data settings, delete downloaded files on your device, or close the page to stop local processing.
Leaving the page stops its local conversion and status checks. It does not cancel a generation job already submitted to a model provider, delete stored files or reverse any provider charge. Privacy rights and provider deletion options depend on the applicable law and the services involved.
